Keystroke Biometrics
Not just the fingerprints, turns out our typing patterns aka keystrokes are also unique to each individual. And this fascinating discovery is leading to several attempts to move away from facial and retinal biometrics to keystroke biometrics which is seen as less invasive.
Keystroke dynamics as the new biometric system is picking up momentum going by the patents that have been filed in recent times. The first few application areas are likely to be in the gaming industry for user authentication.
