Of late, Indians have been searching for blood sugar-related questions online. There is a sharp spike in the trends related to diabetes and related questions around testing, diabetic-friendly foods, and doctors for treatment. This sharp spike despite the fact that NCDs and diabetes, in particular, have been on a steady rise in the country long before Covid hit us.


This uptrend is potentially related to diabetes being a co-morbidity in Covid, creating several complications. And, diabetics are also adversely affected by the recent phenomenon of black fungus, further stressing an already stressed infrastructure.
